Golf/Tennis swings and putting causes stress to the back or shoulders, bent elbows shortens muscles causing inflammation or pain, and golfer/tennis player's posture causes stress on fingers, hands, wrists, and knees. Begin by relaxing the muscles with some effleurage (gliding hands) and petrissage (lift & press tissue). Deepening with some stretch techniques and myofascial releases. Also, used to prepare athletes before and after an event. Pre-event sports massage must be done 72 hours before the event.
